  15. Hello fellow Amigans, can you help me please?
  16. I have been considering hanging a CDROM off my HD8+ GVP and started looking
  17. at the devs directories in aminet. Is there such a thing as cdrom.device?
  18. Other things I think I need to do to connect a cdrom -tell me if I am wrong.

  20. 1. 25pin d-connector to 50pin SCSI connector, wired ala pinout supplied
  21.    in GVP manual (I guess it is SCSI-1)
  22. 2. buy a scsi cdrom drive (is the choice as great as ANY cdrom drive?)
  23. 3. set scsi-id and plug in
  24. 4. guess the LUN
  25. 5. get some CD's
  26. 6. use some lovely cd aware filemanager (which one?)
  27. 7. get an accelerator

  29. I got jukebox from aminet and have only had time to run it to see if it works
  30. in OS2.04. It shows the expected cdplayer interface and correctly tells me
  31. that I have no cdrom player attached.
  32. While looking around I notice mention of existing scsi device drivers being
  33. useful. However I cannot locate (on my harddisk) the file gvpscsi.device.

  35. Qu. How is my machine using the hard disk without a scsi.device file in devs?
  36.  
  37. Machine is: A500+ GVPHD8+ RAM=2+2 OS2.04 still 68000 7MHz I did not set it up
  38. so I am not sure if there is such a thing as a mount list or where to look for
  39. one.

  41. p.s. Anyone know where I can get a plugin accelerator? such as the 68040 of
  42.      Progressive Peripherals?
